However, the service has been improved as you now get 236 characters and 1,000 free text messages every month to Pakistani mobile phones and PTCL V wireless phones.
New features also include a free contact list and unlimited nicknames. There is worldwide signup, which means anyone can register at SMS Markaz from any country, although you can only send free sms to Pakistan. You must give a valid mobile phone number when registering as you need to confirm your account with a pin number that’s sent to your mobile.
There is a paid account which lets you send sms to other countries.
