Got No Credit? – Free SMS to the UK

GotNoCred.it is a new free sms service to UK mobile phones which works within and outside of the UK. There is no need to register to use this service and following our tests at TextMeFree.com we’re happy to say that this service works well with messages arriving in seconds.

The message length is quite short at 133 characters, but you can send as many free text messages as you like. The only limit is that GotNoCred.it have an overall limit on the number of texts available every day, and once that limit is reached nobody can send more texts until the following day. There is a scrolling number of the amount of sms available on the website;  every time that we have visited the site there has always been free sms available to send.

GotNoCred.it

Premium SMS Account

They also have a premium service whereby you can pay a monthly or weekly subscription for cheap SMS rates, both services give cheaper rates than standard sms from your mobile provider.

The premium service includes:

  • Being able to send texts from your own mobile number so people can identify the sms are from you
  • There are no adverts appended to the end of texts.
  • You get more characters – 160
  • There is no minimum character limit (as there is on the free sms service)

GotNoCred.it works very well, and is easy to use from a nicely designed website.

Good to hear that this service is up and running again. We’ve tested GotNoCred.it here at textmefree.com again and it’s working well. Long may it continue.

I have received some very worrying messages from this site from someone who is being anonymous. Is there any way I can stop them, they have already used two other free texting websites and I have blocked my number off both of them.. but they wont stop.

Jessica, you really ought to contact Got No Credit – they may well be able to trace the sender of the abusive messages. Got No Credit can be contacted here: http://gotnocred.it/contact.php

    Hi everyone,

We have made big changes to the website since this review, we have boosted the character limit from 160 characters to 300 characters, removed the limit of text messages you can send each day as we don’t have a global allowance anymore. We decided to “do away” with a premium feature and offer more for free (For just £1 or more when donating we will remove the advertisement on all the text messages you send for 7 days!)

    Just to clear up any confusion about our service;

We moved to a new web host which caused the problems Steven stated above, his ISP had not updated it’s DNS servers which led to downtime for a few hours until it was updated.

We also had contact from Jessica above and resolved her problem, in addition we have added the ability to automatically block / unblock your number from the service, something which had to be requested and done manually beforehand.

We are constantly working hard to make our service the best free texting site in the UK, if you use our service please give us your feedback at @ http://bit.ly/wEEpFE
