FullonSMS is a new service giving free unlimited SMS to India. You have to register to use the service and give some basic personal information and a mobile phone number, but then you can send as many free text messages to Indian mobile phones as you like.
The services comes with a contact list, the ability to form groups so that you can send one sms to several people at the same time and you can set up alerts and reminders. 160 characters per SMS.
